Support for adopters.

Seems to be a busy site with an active forum.

Felt a little sad, however, when I was looking at this site as it is exclusively for adopters. I recognise that it is important for adopters to have a 'safe' place to share concerns and advice. It just felt to me (yet again) that the other members of the adoption 'triad' are being kept away. Ostracised is the word that springs to mind.

BTW, don't really like the word 'triad' - it smacks of gangs to me, and pointy little places where we should all sit neatly.

I prefer the image of a circle, because in the end we are all important, and as far as possible we should be joining together to make difficult, sad events as bearable and positive as we can. Particularly for the child.

The 'Adoption Circle'. Discuss.

Hope everyone is well. I miss our little debates and wish this forum was a little more active!

Yes, Adoption UK is aimed more towards adopters than anyone else, but that is not to stop other people from using it. And may I say, over the years, it has come to help more and more people in other situations.

Thank you for that, Larry. It is good to know that others are welcome there.
