Hi

Have you registered on the official contact register- it's only a few pounds and your daughter may have registered on there too. If you are registered on there and she later registers herself, then a match will show up and they will get in contact with you. I believe the NORCAP one works in a similar way. I actually found my bm was looking for me on the "uk birth adoption" website - again just a few pounds to register. I may be mistaken, but I think the law has recently changed to allow birth parents to search for their adopted child, though I would suggest that you will need to think carefully about whether you wish to contact her in that way. Once you have a name, searching online can be a possible way to find someone, especially in the age of Facebook! For now though I would recommend getting yourself on as many contact registers as possible so that her job will be made much easier if she does decide to look for you herself- both in terms of actually getting in touch, and also taking away the fear of rejection- once I knew my birth mother wanted to find me, I wasn't scared of her slamming the door in my face or anything like that!

It's been ages since I checked the email use for here so didn't realize there were replies so my aplogies. It's worth checking this site
http://search.mylife.com/uk-google/peop ... 0837977452^mkwid=VoYIGbax , this one starts from £4.95 http://www.peopletracer.co.uk/?gclid=CM ... tAodLlX4Cw and there is this one http://www.adoptionsearchreunion.org.uk/default.htm but I don't know what the costs are if any.
