A guide to Attachment

Postby steven » Fri Jul 09, 2010 10:05 am

'A guide to Attachment' is written by John Timpson, successful businessman, adoptive parent and foster carer to over 90 children.

He created the book after realised many of the children he and his wife looked after may have been affected by attachment disorder. After doing some research he found the current literature too full of jargon and aimed at academics.

He decided to write 'A guide to Attachment', aimed at teachers, professionals and adoptive parents as well as anyone who wanted to learn more.

The book uses everyday language, is fully illustrated throughout and takes the reader through what healthy attachment mean and the effect attachment difficulties can have as well as learning how to create healthy attachments.
