aged adoptees

Postby ladyarcher70 » Sat Oct 11, 2014 3:06 pm

Among us adoptees on the site I would appreciate knowing peoples' ages .........particularly knowing how many of us on here are over 60, but I would like to get an idea of the spread of ages among us......... I do have a reason for this enquiry, which I will post about when/if I get a good number of replies....nothing bad..

Hi LA

I am 43 and started this search when I was 39 just before approaching my 40th birthday. I think you will find some of the others are in their 30s or possibly 40s.

Good luck with your survey.

Hi LA,
I was born in '68, making me approximately 21 ish ????
Wasn't even curious about my adoption until I hit 40. Probably triggered off by seeing my own kids growing up, their connection together along with our own similarities that can only be passed on or explained by being blood related to each other. Being adopted we can only see these invisible ties that bind in others, not ourselves.
I haven't posted on here too for quite a while, I've been meaning to, just haven't been able to write my feelings down, it's hard to explain sometimes. I'll probably start a new thread, try to update my story soon.
46 :-( , I'm 46, hope it's of some use to you.

I started the search when I was 37, found bm when I was 39 and met her when I was 40.
Seems to be something about the big 40 that sets us off I think!

63, Spent 30 years trying to trace my Blood Family; Mostly with no PC or internet, Found Blood Family, but my Natural Mother had passed 3 years before I Found Contacts;
As for my Father.......... The Search goes on:
Sadly my Blood Family don't want to know me, And know nothing about my blood father. :cry:
