What kind of help can AA provide?

Postby lilit » Tue Feb 17, 2009 11:53 am

I'm just wondering what kind of help AA can provide? Specifically interested in what (if anything) there is once contact has been established between parties?

Hi there
After Adoption can provide help and support to anyone who has a connection to adoption. It will depend on the area you live in whether you will be able to have face to face support or telephone support. Please feel free to ring our helpline on 08000568578 or email us at actionline@afteradoption.org.uk

After my initial reunion (which AA organised, and reunion took place at AA offices ) we were pretty much left to it. Myself and my brother had problems along the way, and my adoption support worker at AA was great, extremely helpful with advice, but could do little else to help sort the problem out really. Luckily, it seems time was all that was needed in my situation and things are improving!
I personally can't fault AA for the support I have been given. Even now, I can phone up my worker any time, and she will always listen and advice when necassary. :)

Thanks Sooze, it's nice to hear some "user feedback" as it were!

I think I was just having a bad day yesterday, things seem fine now, but it's good to know that AA are there if needs be.
